Party time! Impactt Celebrates 10 years at the House of Lords
On Monday, November 12, the Impactt team and over 100 of our closest friends celebrated 10 years of making progress in ethical trade. The party was hosted by Lord Young at the House of Lords, and the ‘lounge suits’ dress requirement had everybody looking fabulous.Bringing together our corporate friends and NGOs created a great dynamic. The workers voices were heard via an incredibly touching video that Impactt’s China team produced. The video provided an emotional reminder about why Impactt embarked on the ethical trade journey 10 years ago, and when speaking, Rosey emphasised how striving for progress over perfection indeed makes this a journey for all of us.
There was an incredible vibe in the room - as if the speeches, video, and conversation enabled a mass sigh of relief as everyone realised they are not alone, and progress can be achieved. Overheard were several amazingly honest conversations where clients shared their experiences and ‘issues’ with each other, and realised how the realities of our supply chains cross industries and sectors.
The evening launched a new report written by Impactt which describes Impactt’s journey thus far, reveals incredible statistics and case stories of work that has been done, as well as viable recommendations for purchasing companies and production sites.
Last night’s party looked back, provided all those in attendance with an opportunity to raise a celebratory glass of wine, and reminded us of the need to keep on truckin’.
