Selima Akhtar is Impactt’s Associate in Bangladesh. 

Selima has worked with UNICEF, the ILO as well as the Bangladesh Government. She was based with the ILO for over ten years, where she was responsible for running a labour standards compliance project with 25 factories in Dhaka. These projects focused on training and capacity building of factory management and workers in Occupational Health and Safety and Industrial Relations.She has also spent several years in Bangladesh working on an ILO child labour remediation project, which provided education and a stipend to 10,000 children. She has established 5 active day care centres in 5 factories.

She holds a Masters Degree in Management from Dhaka University.

Selima is married and has two children aged 15 and 10.

She is enthusiastic about joining Impactt and is happy to be working with Rosey, Dionne and the rest of the team.
