Carly Thomas

Carly joined Impactt in January 2010 as a Project Officer.
In 2009, Carly graduated with a Masters in Corporate Social Responsibility at the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR) at Nottingham University’s Business School. Carly also has a BA in Geography from the University of Nottingham.
Before joining Impactt Carly completed 2 project based internships for Achilles, a company specialising sustainable supply chain delivery. These projects provided Carly with valuable exposure in working in partnership with a multitude of private sector and non-governmental organisations including the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Carly has also worked previously for Capita providing outsourced HR solutions to the public sector.
Why I joined Impactt
Prior to joining Impactt my research interest in ethical supply chains began with Naomi Klein’s publication: No Logo. What struck me was how anonymous workers were at the bottom of the supply chain for the average consumer. I joined Impactt because Impactt not only improves the conditions for workers previously anonymous in supply chains, but gives companies and factories good business reasons to make these changes.
